Four fish caught to date the latest by the President last week. A fish around 12 lbs from the Cloddy pool.
Water remained low most of the month with a little rise during last week which gave fresh water and hope to all.
Fish have been caught in the private beats further up the river so they are in the system but hard to find on the FAA water.
The catches are rather low for this time of year which includes on the upper stretches but with temperatures rising, fish will begin to move more and chances will increase. A number of Finnock have been seen along with a couple of sea trout which will allow the night fishers to be confident enough to venture out and begin their season.
Seals continue to enter the Findhorn Bay and with the ever increasing sand banks within the bay, it is difficult for Salmon to pass through and into our waters without having to face the onslaught of seals.
Reminder to those who have not uplifted their permits yet to ensure they are collected and paid for by the end of May to avoid having to reapply.
